I call myself back to myself

Updated: Jun 2

I CALL MYSELF BACK TO MYSELF

From the Red Rock Canyons of Nevada.

From the Colorado River, a place of daily baths, from the granite riverside rocks that held my naked body as the sun dried away each drop of water from my skin.

From the canyons of Moab, the river waking me up every morning as it’s thin sheet of ice melted and cracked sound like alien laser beams echoing through the canyon. To dancing & howling under the star lit night, making love on top of a desert tower full moon rising over head.

I CALL MYSELF BACK TO MYSELF

From the Crestone peaks and Valley View hot springs of Colorado. Land where mantras echoed through the valley. Where magic is alive and well. Land where you will begin to believe in the mystery of the impossible as it unfolds in front of your eyes.

From Indian Peaks Wilderness. Snow that glistens under the moonlight making the ground appear to be covered in glitter. Where the quiet and stillness is hauntingly loud. Giant peaks that stand tall like castles, where the only way to honor is to bow down to their power.

I CALL MYSELF BACK TO MYSELF

From Santa Barbara where the dolphins greeted us at sunrise as we opened the van door.

From the Sierra Nevedas, land of wild natural hot springs and drenching rains that leaked through the roof like a waterfall and flooded the inside of the van. Where the lightning lit up the entire valley and the sound of thunder shook the entire van. There was nowhere to go that night that wasn’t soaking wet. Surrender to the down pour.

I CALL MYSELF BACK TO MYSELF

From Cape Cod where the waves and sand glow in bioluminesance, where bonfires light up the snow-covered dunes on the beach. Where the milky way reflects on to the lake. Where the sounds of whales breaching for air woke me from napping on the shore.

From New Jersey where I learned the power of my NO.

From Philadelphia, a city that is linked to all my lifetimes & timelines. A place that holds a special home for my heart.

I CALL MYSELF BACK TO MYSELF

So that every footstep that I walk on this new land is in right relationship in prayer and presence.

So that I may continue to live in a place of bold aliveness, devotional depth, passion, & exploration into the adventurous unknown.
